Wisata Malam Monas tersebut akhirnya diresmikan Gubernur DKI Jakarta Basuki Tjahaja Purnama atau Ahok dengan pemotongan nasi tumpeng oleh Gubernur Ahok, di pelataran antrean pintu masuk Tugu Monas Jakarta, Selasa malam.
